The Department of Performing Arts Technology at the University of Michigan seeks to advance the aesthetics of technology-based arts through performance, the development of emerging technologies, and research. Collaboration and creativity are key components of the interdisciplinary study of music, dance, theatre, engineering, art, and film and video.

PAT alumnus designs headphone processor
Devin Kerr, a graduate of our B.S. in Sound Engineering and M.A. in Media Arts programs, designed the audio signal processing algorithm in the FHX Headphone Processor.
